Bangladesh to Be Represented at Apimondia 2025 by Beekeepers Association GF
Dhaka – The Bangladesh Beekeepers Association (BBKA) has announced that its General Secretary, Ebadullah Afzal, will attend the upcoming Apimondia 2025 international beekeeping congress as Bangladesh’s delegate. (bbkabd.org)
Mr. Afzal’s participation marks a key opportunity for Bangladesh’s beekeeping sector to engage with global developments in apiculture, connect with international experts, and explore export and innovation pathways. In his remarks, he emphasised the importance of elevating Bangladesh’s honey-industry standards and expanding cooperation across borders.
The BBKA recently completed its election for the 2024-26 terms, with Mr. Afzal elected General Secretary and Mr. Raquib Md Fakhrul as President. The association has highlighted that its twin goals remain developing the beekeeping industry domestically and promoting the interests and welfare of local beekeepers. (The Business Standard)
Attending Apimondia 2025 will enable Bangladesh to:
– showcase its honey and bee-products to a global audience,
– learn from best practices in sustainable beekeeping, and
– network for funding, technology transfer and export opportunities.
The BBKA has urged the national beekeeping community to support this representation and to prepare for follow-up actions upon Mr. Afzal’s return, so that the benefit of international engagement can translate into tangible growth for local beekeeper.
