Jashore, May 20, 2025 — On the occasion of World Bee Day 2025, the Bangladesh Beekeepers Association organized a public gathering in Jashore to highlight the significance of bees in environmental sustainability and agriculture.
Participants, dressed in yellow bee-themed shirts, assembled outdoors holding a large banner with the theme: “Bee Inspired by Nature to Nourish Us All.” The event focused on public engagement and educating the local community about the threats facing bees, such as habitat loss, pesticide use, and climate change.
Organizers stressed the importance of supporting small-scale beekeepers, encouraging youth participation in apiculture, and preserving biodiversity through sustainable practices.
The celebration is part of a global effort to honor World Bee Day, which commemorates the contributions of bees to food production and the legacy of Anton Janša, the father of modern beekeeping.
