Pabna, May 20, 2025 —
The Bangladesh Beekeepers Association organized a vibrant event in Pabna to celebrate World Bee Day 2025 on May 20th at the premises of the Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute (BSRI).
With the theme “Bee Inspired by Nature to Nourish Us All”, the event gathered local beekeepers, researchers, and community members to raise awareness about the essential role of bees in pollination, food security, and biodiversity. Participants wore bright yellow themed T-shirts symbolizing the energy and importance of bees.
The event emphasized the importance of sustainable beekeeping practices and the need to protect pollinators from environmental threats. Organizers expressed hope that such initiatives would inspire greater involvement in beekeeping, especially among rural communities.
The celebration was part of a nationwide initiative by the Bangladesh Beekeepers Association to promote environmental awareness and the sustainable development of apiculture across the country.
