Gazipur, May 20, 2025 —
To mark World Bee Day 2025, the Bangladesh Beekeepers Association organized a significant event at the Bangladesh Sugarcrop Research Institute (BSRI) in Gazipur on May 20th. A large number of participants, including beekeepers, agricultural experts, researchers, and local community members, joined the event with enthusiasm.
With the global theme “Bee Inspired by Nature to Nourish Us All,” the celebration focused on spreading awareness about the critical role bees play in maintaining ecological balance and food production. Speakers highlighted the importance of protecting pollinators and encouraging sustainable beekeeping practices across rural and urban areas alike.
The event also aimed to inspire new generations to engage in apiculture as a means of livelihood and environmental conservation. Participants expressed their gratitude to BSRI for hosting the event and reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding bee populations.
The initiative is part of a nationwide campaign by the Bangladesh Beekeepers Association to promote pollinator health, biodiversity, and sustainable agriculture throughout the country.
